Course Description
This course covers selected topics in modern world history through the present day. The growth and importance of movements and ideas such as democracy, imperialism, and nationalism will be examined. The advancement of Western civilization in art, science, and technology will be analyzed. Crucial events in European History, including the Protestant Reformation, the French and Russian Revolutions, and World Wars I and II, the Cold War and post-colonial national development will receive special attention. The course will be based on class discussions, the reading of primary sources, projects, and media center research. NCAA Approved. |
