Course Description
This course is designed for those students who desire to express their ideas and feelings creatively through disciplined writing. Emphasis is placed on developing previously learned skills through weekly writing assignments in the genres of short story, poetry, and essay writing. Students will improve their writing skills through peer conferencing, peer editing, class workshopping, and teacher evaluation. In addition to the weekly writing assignments, students will compile a portfolio of writing that demonstrates the range and proficiency in their writing. Participation with Impressions, the Literary Magazine, is encouraged. NCAA Approved.
