Course Description
This Introductory hands-on course is aimed to explore the
many aspects of the housing world: from basic wants and needs
to finding your design style, to constructing scale model furniture
that you envision. Emphasis is placed on the interior design
process; human, environmental and behavioral factors; color
theory, elements and principles of design; hand sketching/digital
design techniques, space planning, as well as the selection of
products and materials for residential interiors. The student will
have the opportunity to develop skills through multiple hands-on
activities and projects (brochures, displays, floor plans and scale
drawings); using a variety of media (collage, paint, colored
pencils and digital design software). |
